Deadly fires continue to ravage California’s famed Wine Country region. As of Tuesday, at least 11 people have been killed due to the wildfires in the Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, UFC flyweight contender Henry Cejudo, who was in Santa Rosa attending NFL legend Ronnie Lott’s celebrity fundraiser, suffered an injury while trying to escape the fast-moving blaze.

“UFC fighter Henry Cejudo didn’t evacuate from the Fountaingrove Inn in Santa Rosa and broke his ankle jumping from a second-story balcony,” the report said.

Matheus Aquino, who manages Cejudo’s training partners, Patricky and Patricio Freire of Bellator MMA, later tweeted that this story was true.
