Ray Borg almost didn’t make it to UFC Philadelphia after a weight-cut gone wrong.
The UFC bantamweight and former flyweight title challenger hit his head on the bathtub while attempting to cut weight and subsequently found himself in the hospital.
“The bad luck bug almost struck me again,” Borg told The Luke Thomas Show on Monday. “As I took a step, I took a step and I slipped, and I hit my head on the bathtub.” Borg’s hotel did not have a steam room and sauna, so he and his team “had to make our own sauna and steam room out of bathroom along with the hot tub.
