Raoni Barcelos tests positive for COVID-19, withdraws from UFC Vegas 20

Hours after the UFC finally got Raoni Barcelos a new opponent for UFC Vegas 20 on Feb. 27, the Brazilian bantamweight has tested positive for COVID-19, he announced on social media on Monday.

Barcelos and his wife are feeling “fine” and experiencing no symptoms, he said in Portuguese in a video posted on Twitter. The former RFA featherweight champion said he expects to be able to fight again soon.

The 135-pound prospect, who is 5-0 under the UFC banner with wins over the likes of Said Nurmagomedov and Khalid Taha, was originally scheduled to face Raphael Assuncao on Feb.
