If nothing else, UFC Vegas 111 is about to draw a lot more eyeballs than anyone would have guessed a month or two ago.
This weekend, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will put on the second of two consecutive Fight Night cards at the Apex in Las Vegas. Coming directly after an ambitious three-month world tour, and just before its annual Madison Square Garden blockbuster and first-ever event in Qatar, UFC Vegas 110 and 111 were constructed from the jump as low-key events: short on big names and ranked contenders, long on Dana White's Contender Series rookies and veterans in need of another booking before year’s end.
