All eight fighters — four welteweights and four featherweights — hit their contracted marks at weigh-ins on Wednesday. It wasn’t entirely smooth sailing, however, as Anthony Ivy tipped the scales at 175.4 pounds for his welterweight alternate clash against Magomed Umalatov (170.4). As a result, that matchup will be contested as a catchweight bout.
PFL World Tournament 5 takes place on Thursday at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, and features semifinal pairings at welterweight and featherweight. The evening’s main event is a 170-pound clash between former Bellator champion Jason Jackson (171) and rising talent Thad Jean (170.
