The WBA welterweight showdown between Keith Thurman and Luis Collazo was made official Friday when both men made the 147-pound limit. Their battle will be televised live on ESPN Saturday night as a part Premier Boxing Champions’ new deal with the sports giant; tomorrow’s showcase is the inaugural PBC on ESPN event.
Collazo (36-6, 19 KOs) stepped to the scale first and hit the welterweight limit right on the money. The former WBA welterweight titlist is looking to regain the title he held a decade ago by toppling Jose Antonio Rivera.
