One of boxing ‘s purest boxers continued his journey toward super stardom Sunday as Cuba’s Rances Barthelemy was about as flawless as they come in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions on CBS. Barthelemy put on a clinic against former world champion Antonio DeMarco inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena, pitching a shutout along the way.
Barthelemy dominated DeMarco from the start, landing dozens upon dozens of jabs from both the orthodox and southpaw stances. The elusiveness and deadly accuracy of the current Las Vegas resident was far too much for the grizzled Mexican to overcome, preventing DeMarco from ever getting inside and doing any sort of damage.
