Paulo Costa Says Stomach Medicine Led to Withdrawal from UFC on ESPN 3

When Paulo Henrique Costa was forced to withdraw from a proposed UFC on ESPN 3 bout with Yoel Romero, his opponent speculated that Costa’s exit was due to a USADA violation.

Costa’s team quickly shot those rumors down but did not give a reason for his withdrawal at the time. However, in a recent interview with Brazilian outlet Combate, “Borrachinha” claimed that he was not allowed to compete after taking a stomach medicine called Plasil, which is used to combat nausea.
