Angela Lee will look to defend her atomweight title at One “Championship” Century against strawweight titlist Jingnan Xiong on Oct. 13.
Xiong defeated Lee by fifth-round TKO in their first meeting at One “A New Era” on March 31. Following the loss, Lee stayed at strawweight, losing a unanimous decision to Michelle Nicolini at One “Masters of Destiny” in July to fall to 9-2 as a pro. Despite her two-bout skid, Lee remains the promotion’s atomweight champion. She recognizes that she is in somewhat of a unique place in that regard.
