Hiroki Akimoto erased all doubt that he could move up in weight and be successful by knocking off #3-ranked bantamweight kickboxing contender “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong by split decision.
As evident by the decision, it was a closely-contested battle. However, the speed of the Japanese athlete proved to win the day in the three-round main event. Zhang performed well and had his moments, but two of the three judges tipped their cards toward Akimoto.
