ONE Championship returned with live events Friday in Singapore, and grappling wizard Garry Tonon was the main attraction amongst MMA bouts.
Tonon went back to MMA after a string of grappling matches since his most recent ONE appearance in May 2019, taking on former ONE and Pancrase featherweight title contender Koyomi Matsushima, and used his grappling skills to clinch the victory.
“The Lion Killer” first threatened with a standing guillotine right off the bat, but put Matsushima in the most dangerous situation when they finally hit the canvas, spending minutes on a rear-naked choke attempt that Matsushima escaped.
