Nina Ansaroff plans move to flyweight after taking year off to start a family with Amanda Nunes

Nina Ansaroff won’t likely fight again until 2021, but she’s already plotting her return in a new weight class after taking time off to hopefully start a family with two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes.

With a 4-1 record in her past five fights, Ansaroff was climbing into title strawweight title contention until she lost a close decision to Tatiana Suarez in her last outing this past June.

Four months later, Ansaroff announced her intention to take a year off from her own career to start a family with Nunes. While she hasn’t gotten pregnant yet, the plans remain the same although now Ansaroff anticipates her next fight in the UFC to come at 125 pounds.
