When Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Nick Diaz told the mixed martial arts (MMA) community he was "drugged" before his UFC 158 title fight against Georges St-Pierre, I thought to myself, "tell us something we don't already know."
Turns out he wasn't self medicating, but rather accepting strange substances from someone claiming to be St-Pierre's nurse, because if there is one thing we've learned in this industry, it's that accepting nondescript drugs from people you hardly know never ends in disaster.
"Yeah, I remember that. Yeah I was there and it was Georges St-Pierre's nurse or something, came down and he wanted to give Nick some kind of stuff.
