Nick Diaz got his 5 year MMA ban reduced, but had to admit he misused his Fifth Amendment rights as part of the settlement.
By the end of July, 2016, Nick Diaz should be eligible to fight again. That's not exactly soon, but it's a hell of a lot sooner than the 5-year ban that he was originally scheduled to serve, following his strange, circus-esque hearing over a failed drug test just after his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183. While the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) seemed set firm to drop the hammer on Diaz in public, it seems they were much more willing to negotiate behind closed doors.
