Perhaps Dustin Poirier’s decision to pull out of UFC 230 is all part of a master plan to generate even more interest in his fight with Nate Diaz.
Poirier, 29, will no longer be fighting Diaz at UFC 230 due to a hip injury that requires stem cell injections, but there is now more even more demand to see both fighters square off inside the Octagon.
Poirier and Diaz have been going back-and-forth on social media for the past week, and Diaz kicked off round two on Friday by claiming that he’s ‘going back out on tour’ due to his disappointment that Poirier pulled out of UFC 230.
