Nate Diaz Offers Reminder of First Fight vs. McGregor Following Mayweather Announcement

Nate Diaz wasn’t about to let the day’s big news pass without issuing some kind of response.

Not long after the much-hyped boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather became official, Diaz took to Instagram to remind the world of his victory over “The Notorious” one at UFC 196 in March 2016.

“It’s gonna be a good fight for that #2 spot,” Diaz wrote as a caption to a picture taken after the Stockton, Calif., native submitted McGregor with a rear-naked choke 4:12 into the second-round of their welterweight bout at UFC 196.
