On Monday, it was announced Diaz will meet Michael Johnson at UFC on FOX 17.
There hasn’t been any reason why Diaz hasn’t competed at all in 2015, outside of the fact he just doesn’t feel like it. The controversial fighter was, however, involved in a ringside rumble with rival Khabib Nurmagomedov at WSOF 22 earlier this month.
Diaz has dropped three of his last four bouts.
Johnson, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from this month’s highly controversial split decision defeat to Beneil Dariush. Nearly everyone, including Dariush, was surprised when the verdict didn’t go his way.
