One Championship’s return to Jakarta is expected to be an intense one as the Asian MMA giant has just announced that its “Odyssey of Champions” event will be anchored by a featherweight tilt between champion Narantungalag Jadambaa and Marat Gafurov. The event will take place at the Istora Senayan indoor arena on Sept. 27.
Jadambaa, a world champion kickboxer from Mongolia, captured the One 145-pound crown a year ago when he scored a unanimous decision over Japanese fighter Koji Oishi. Jadambaa reportedly has gone back to his homeland to fine-tune his skills as a mixed martial artist and is ready to defend his title.
