Morning Report: Joe Rogan speculates that Conor McGregor is not done with professional boxing

On Saturday, the second-biggest boxing event of the year took place when Canelo Alvarez finally fought Gennady Golovkin after years of build up. In most other years, this fight would have been the unquestioned event of the year. However, it happened to take place in the same year as the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor superfight. And though MayMac is almost a month in the rear-view mirror, “The Money Fight” still casts a shadow over every other combat sports event in the world.

On the most recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, UFC commentator Joe Rogan did a fight companion to coincide with UFC Pittsburgh and the Alvarez-Golovkin fight card, and the conversation inevitably turned to McGregor and Mayweather, with Rogan suggesting that McGregor has a future in professional boxing, possibly even a rematch with Mayweather.
