John Gotti III is fighting in the “Empire State” as a professional for the first time, but his name is already well known there.
The grandson of the notorious New York mobster with whom he shares a name, Gotti made a successful pro MMA debut last October at Classic Entertainment & Sports MMA 46 in Lincoln, R.I., last October, forcing opponent Johnny Adams to tap to strikes in the first round.
Gotti is next booked to fight Eddie Haws (0-1) in a welterweight bout in Westbury, N.Y. — on Long Island 18 miles east of Manhattan — at a CES show on May 4.
