Mizuto Hirota will no longer be a part of Friday’s UFC Fight Night: Saint Preux vs. Okami.
In a statement released by the UFC, the promotion’s medical team declared Hirota unfit to fight Charles Rosa.
"Due to health and safety concerns, the UFC featherweight bout Hirota vs. Rosa at UFC Fight Night Japan: Saint Preux vs. Okami has been cancelled, as Hirota was deemed unfit to compete by the UFC medical team,” the statement read.
Hirota weighed in at 150 pounds at Thursday’s weigh-in, but his condition was concerning.
