Renato Moicano will no longer fight Mirsad Bektic at UFC 231 as the Bosnian featherweight has been forced out of the Dec. 8 card, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by FloCombat.
Moicano remains on the UFC 231 card for now, but the promotion hasn’t found a new opponent for him just yet. The pay-per-view event takes place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, and is headlined by a featherweight title bout between Max Holloway and Brian Ortega.
Moicano (13-1-1) wanted to be on the card so he could volunteer to replace either one of the headliners in case of an injury or weight miss.
