Michael Chandler’s next combat sports appearance won’t be in the Octagon.
The former UFC lightweight title challenger will face ex-featherweight contender Chad Mendes in a wrestling match at Real American Freestyle 3 on Nov. 29 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The organization announced the match via social media on Monday. RAF03 will also include a match between former Bellator MMA title holder Darrion Caldwell and high school wrestling star Bo Bassett.

Chandler wrestled at the University of Missouri, where he earned All-American honors as a senior.
