Joshua Van’s teammate, Michael Aswell (11-3), leaked title fight news at UFC Rio.
Aswell (11-3) made his sophomore Ultimate Fighting Championship appearance in a featherweight matchup against Lucas Almeida (15-5) at UFC Rio on Saturday. “The Texas Kid” took less than two minutes to knock out Almeida, who allegedly fought with a broken right hand. Aswell subsequently revealed that his 4OZ. Fight Club teammate Van will fight Alexandre Pantoja (30-5) for the flyweight title at UFC 323 on Dec. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
