McGregor: I didn’t come back for the money, I came back to put a ‘beating’ on ‘little rat’ Khabib

Many fans predicted that Conor McGregor was going to sail off into the sunset a retired and rich man after his mega-money fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year.

According to Forbes, McGregor is one of the highest paid athletes in the world, but the Irishman is not motivated to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the money - he’s in this for the ‘love’ of fighting.

That’s what ‘The Notorious’ told reporters, and Khabib, at the explosive UFC 229 pre-fight press conference on Thursday.

“I came back for the love of this, to come and shut this man up…a little rat…a little weasel…a little hard man in groups,” McGregor said at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
