UFC Vegas 33 has officially lost one of its anticipated bouts.
Sources close to the situation confirmed to MMA Fighting that the bantamweight matchup between Trevin Jones and Ronnie Lawrence is officially off of Saturday’s fight card. Jones successfully made weight at 135 pounds, while Lawrence did not step on the scale—which was removed with a few minutes left in the two hour window.
Lawrence’s manager Matt Weibel provided an update to MMA Fighting shortly after the weigh-in window expired.
“Ronnie made weight in his room, then before they walked down, his body shut down completely with cramps,” Weibel said.
