Mairon Santos miscalculated his weight cut for UFC 323.
Santos was scheduled to fight Muhammadjon Naimov in a featherweight matchup at UFC 323 on Saturday. However, the fight took place at catchweight as Santos came in 1.5 pounds over the non-title featherweight limit of 146 pounds. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 32 winner also forfeited 20% of his purse to Naimov for missing weight.
A ‘Miscalculation’
Santos (17-1) finished Naimov (13-4) in the third round to maintain his undefeated UFC record. “The Legend” subsequently opened up on his weight miss.
