On Friday, Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum officially re-opened after twenty months of renovations. Perhaps not coincidentally, the UFC announced that they’ll be staging a FOX card at the arena — officially called Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Presented By New York Community Bank — on Saturday, July 22nd. No fights have been announced, but tickets will go on sale starting June 2nd.
Nassau Coliseum is located in the hamlet of Uniondale, just under ten miles away from the Nassau County-Queens border, and formerly served as the home of the NHL’s New York Islanders before the team relocated to Brooklyn in 2015.
