Lion Fight issues statement on Tiffany van Soest's claims of not being compensated

Lion Fight dual titleholder, Tiffany van Soest (15-2-1), took to social media on Thursday evening (March 17, 2016) to reveal she had yet to receive payment from the Muay Thai promotion for her women's super bantamweight title bout victory over Ashley Nichols at Lion Fight 27, which took place back on January 29.

Van Soest, 26, who is also the Lion Fight women's featherweight champion, said she was going to be forced to sell one of her championship belts in order to "help relieve the debt accumulated in preparation for that bout."

Lion Fight issued a statement on Friday afternoon from president Scott Kent in response to van Soest's claims of not being compensated.
