It was a rough night at the office for Kyle Daukaus at UFC Austin last month.
In addition to losing to Roman Dolidze via first-round knockout, Daukaus revealed that he suffered multiple facial fractures as a result of absorbing a knee to the face from his opponent in the finishing sequence on June 18.
“During the fight, I got kneed, obviously,” Daukaus said in a video on his Instagram account. “As soon as the knee landed, it kind of broke my face in three places. The scans I got, I had two orbital fractures, and I think I had a fracture in my eye socket as well underneath.
