King Mo: Tito Ortiz would 'retire with the belt' before fighting me

Muhammed Lawal fully expects a title shot if he wins the one-night, four-man light heavyweight tournament Saturday at Bellator MMA: Dynamite 1 in San Jose. He just doesn't think it'll be against Tito Ortiz -- even if Ortiz takes the belt from Liam McGeary.

"I'm gonna be me fighting Liam," Lawal told MMA Fighting. "That's the thing. Tito ain't gonna beat Liam. It's gonna be me versus Liam. If Tito happens to win, because Liam gets hurt, then Tito will retire with the belt and not fight me. Mark my words."

Lawal (15-4, 1 NC), the former Strikeforce 205-pound champion, has been interested in fighting Ortiz for a while now.
