This Friday night, in St.Louis, Missouri, Bellator 138’s main event is Kevin Ferguson (Kimbo Slice) vs Ken Shamrock. This fight was originally scheduled, by the now defunct promotion EliteXC, seven years ago but Shamrock suffered a cut during a pre-fight workout and couldn’t fight. At that time, EliteXC’s main attraction was Kimbo Slice, a body guard for the owners of the porn site Bang Bro’s, who was promoted because of his street fighting videos that were an instant internet sensation.

EliteXC was a promotion that attempted to rival the UFC and not by working hard but rather by feeding Kimbo has-beens or simply paying people to take a dive.
