While Kiefer Crosbie elected to continue after being dazed by an illegal knee at UFC Shanghai, he believes veteran official Marc Goddard could have managed the situation much better than he did.
Octagon newcomer Nueraji Taiyilake rocked Crosbie with the foul early in their welterweight matchup, prompting Goddard to pause the action. Once it was determined that Crosbie could continue, Goddard deducted two points from Taiyilake for the knee and the action resumed. It didn’t take Taiyilake long to finish the job from there, as he tossed his opponent to the floor and dropped a series of forceful elbows from above.
