Kickboxing champion Ilias Bulaid set for MMA debut at Bellator Dublin

Decorated kickboxing champion Ilias Bulaid will compete in MMA for the first time when he takes on Vitalic Maiboroda on the preliminary card of Bellator Dublin on Sept. 27 at the 3 Arena.

Bellator confirmed the featherweight clash to MMA Fighting on Friday.

Bulaid has been training in SBG Ireland for some time and is the current Enfusion world champion at 67 kilos (147 pounds) and was a runner-up in the K-1 2016 world tournament, which was contested at 65 kilos (143 pounds). At just 24 years old, the Dutch kickboxer boasts an incredible striking record of 157-9-2, with 53 of his wins coming by way of knockout.
