UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov puts his title on the line on Saturday at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi when he takes on interim champ Dustin Poirier in a title unification bout. According to “The Eagle,” his patented game plan of taking his opponents down and tiring them out remains unchanged.
Poirier’s best apparent route to victory against the champion would be for the fight to remain standing and for him to land combinations, although many other challengers have attempted the same thing and failed.
