Khabib Nurmagomedov wants apology from NSAC before fighting in Las Vegas, eyes New York as alternative

Khabib Nurmagomedov is in no hurry to return to the city where he had his most highly publicized in-cage triumph and out-of-the-cage incident.

The UFC lightweight champion is currently without a fight as a matchup with No. 1 contender Tony Ferguson looms and while the wheels are in motion according to Nurmagomedov, there are a few sticking points that need to be addressed.

Nurmagomedov was in attendance at a fan Q&A in Moscow ahead of this weekend’s UFC event and he confirmed that he is actively negotiating his next bout, but a fight in Las Vegas will only occur if he receives an apology from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the penalty levied against him in the wake of the UFC 229 melee.
