Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev are way more than just sparring partners.
Nurmagomedov was recently asked what Makhachev means to him. According to “The Eagle,” few training partners in the world have a bond like that of him and Makhachev. And that is because their bond extends far beyond the mat. Nurmagomedov explains that they share a lot of history, as they grew up together, went to the same school and trained together under his father, Abdulmanap, almost their entire life. Nurmagomedov claims he is happier for his teammates’ wins than his own wins.
