Top strawweight contenders Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Felice Herrig will throw down at UFC 223 on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Officials confirmed the strawweight bout to MMA Fighting on Monday, following an initial report from MMANytt.
Herrig also announced the rumored bout on her Instagram:
A nine-year MMA veteran, Herrig is on a hot streak having won four straight bouts and five of her last six. She’s taken her last three fights on the scorecards, with her most recent outing at UFC 218 ending in a split decision victory over Cortney Casey.
