Karolina Kowalkiewicz issues statement on UFC 238 loss: ‘I’m not the same fighter I used to be’

The one-time strawweight title challenger failed to stop her slide this past Saturday, losing a unanimous decision to Alexa Grasso on the ESPN preliminary portion of UFC 238. Kowalkiewicz is now 2-5 since winning the first 10 bouts of her pro MMA career.

On Tuesday, the 33-year-old wrote an earnest Instagram post in which she vowed to continue fighting for her fans even though she feels she is past her prime.

“Congratulations Alexa Grasso, you’ve done a great job,” Kowalkiewicz wrote in Polish (translation acquired by MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin).
