It didn’t take Chris Barnett long to find a new combat sports home.
Karate Combat on Wednesday announced it has signed the former UFC heavyweight for a Dec. 5 debut against Jonathan Miller. The bout will be part of the Karate Combat 58 lineup, which takes place on Dec. 5 in Miami.
Barnett was released from the UFC after losing three of his last four bout within the Las Vegas-based promotion. Most recently, “Beastboy” dropped a unanimous decision against Hamdy Abdelwahab at UFC 321 on Oct. 25. The 39-year-old went 2-4 in the UFC overall, earning wins over Jake Collier and Gian Villante.
