Justin Gaethje Leg Kicks Chop Down Brian Foster in WSOF 29 Main Event

Brian Foster will not have pleasant memories of his encounter with Justin Gaethje.

Gaethje kept his perfect professional record intact and retained the World Series of Fighting lightweight championship, as he cut down Foster with first-round leg kicks in the WSOF 29 headliner on Saturday at the Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley, Colorado. Foster (25-9) succumbed to kicks 1:43 into round one.

As many anticipated, it was fun while it lasted. Both men swung for the fences, and Gaethje briefly floored the challenger with a left hook. Foster returned to his feet and was met with a series of kicks to the outside of his left knee, the last of which buckled the 31-year-old and dropped him to the mat in visible pain.
