B.J. Penn is prohibited from having contact with his mother after a Hawaii judge granted Lorraine Shin a one-year, no-contact protection order against the ex-UFC champion.
The ruling is retroactive to May 26, when Shin initially sought the restraining order. Shin requested that the order be for two years, but Judge Jeffery Ng ultimately settled on one year on Tuesday in Hilo Family Court. The Hawaii Tribune-Herald was first to report the news.
As part of the protective order, Penn is prohibited from coming within 100 yards of his mother’s residence and place of employment.
