Jose Aldo considers drop to 135, asks for title shot against Henry Cejudo for next bout

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo wants to waste no time in getting to another title shot at this point in his career. In an interview with Combate, the 32-year-old revealed that he has been considering a drop to the bantamweight division and a desire to take on champion Henry Cejudo, right away.

Although he was bested via unanimous decision by Alexander Volkanovski in his last outing, at UFC 237 back in May, Aldo has put his name out there for Cejudo’s consideration—after hearing that the ‘Messenger’ is open to taking on all challengers.

“At the moment, we’ve been thinking about what is the best chance to fight for a belt again,” Aldo revealed.
