Following a controversial split decision loss to Al Iaquinta, Masvidal will move up to the welterweight division and meet Cezar Ferreira, who drops from 185 for the first time, at the TUF 21 Finale event in Florida on July 12.
Masvidal (28-9) returns to the welterweight division for the first time since a decision loss to Paul Daley in 2010. Masvidal went 8-3 as a lightweight in the UFC and Strikeforce, most recently defeating Pat Healy, Daron Cruickshank and James Krause in the UFC.
"Mutante" (8-4), winner of the first season of TUF: Brazil, cuts down to 170 pounds after a 4-2 run as a middleweight in the UFC.
