Brazilian bantamweight Johnny Eduardo is back after a long layoff.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup that Eduardo (28-12) is set to return to action against Anthony Birchak (15-7) at a UFC event on March 20 at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The bout was first reported by MMA Junkie.
Eduardo, 40, has been out of action since June 2018. The 24-year veteran had plans to return in 2020 and even called out Sean O’Malley, but travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for Eduardo to land a booking.
