Jiri Prochazka shaves head in solidarity with cancer patient ahead of UFC 311, pledges $40,000 for treatment

Ahead of his return to action this weekend, Jiri Prochazka has revealed he shaved his head and removed his iconic hairstyle in a bid to show “solidarity” to a cancer patient he has flown out to attempt his UFC 311 clash with Jamahal Hill.

Prochazka, a former undisputed light heavyweight titleholder and the current number two ranked divisional contender, is slated to make his return to action for the first time since last June this weekend, taking on fellow ex-champion, Hill in a title eliminator grudge fight.

And ahead of the matchup, Prochazka’s iconic hairstyle was the subject of conversation, after a patient who is undergoing cancer treatment via chemotherapy shaved her head to match his hair — leading to a response of support from the Czech Republic native.
