Former WSOF strawweight champion Jessica Aguilar is no longer on the UFC roster, she confirmed to MMA Fighting.
Aguilar signed with the promotion after raking up a 19-4 record with key victories over Megumi Fujii (twice), Carla Esparza and Kalindra Faria, but went 1-4 under the UFC banner between 2015 and 2019. “Jag”, who scored her sole UFC win with a decision over Jodie Esquibel, leaves the promotion following back-to-back defeats to 115-pound prospects Weili Zhang and Marina Rodriguez.
”I haven’t received any communications from the UFC,” Aguilar said in a statement to MMA Fighting, “However my last fight against Marina Rodriguez was the last on my contract.
