Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis Canceled; New Date Targeted Before End of Year

Jake Paul’s scheduled fight against Gervonta Davis has officially fallen through but the promoter remains optimistic about one participant toeing the line soon.

YouTube celebrity turned boxer Paul was scheduled to fight multi-divisional champion Davis in an exhibition boxing match on Nov. 14 at Kaseya Center in Miami. However, the Netflix partnered event was initially jeopardized after Davis’ ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel filed a civil lawsuit in Miami-Dade County, accusing the lightweight champion of aggravated battery, among other charges.

Fight promoters, Most Valuable Promotions, initially said they would comment only after further investigation. Rumors suggested that Terence Crawford , Ryan Garcia, Francis Ngannou and Nate Diaz were being considered as replacement options for “Tank” but MVP and Netflix have now called off the card entirely.
