LONDON — Jack Catterall says the sacrifice will show under the lights. After leaving his young family and longtime coach Jamie Moore to spend two months in Philadelphia with renowned trainer Derrick “Bozy” Ennis, the 32-year-old former world title challenger returns on Saturday to face rugged welterweight Ekow Essuman on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (DAZN PPV).
“I took myself out of my comfort zone,” Catterall said this week. “I’ve been away training and preparing hard for this fight.”
