Tonight (June 11th) at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Invicta FC will crown a number one contender to Alesha Zappitella’s atomweight throne. The popular Phoenix Rising tournament is here and fan votes were used to determine the quarterfinal matchups. Here’s a refresher on the rules:
The tournament starts off with one-round quarterfinals, and the semifinals will be randomized if there are no finishes. Otherwise the person with the fastest finish gets to choose her opponent. The semis are also one round, followed by a three-round tournament final to crown the tournament champ.
